Art Coviello is Executive Vice President, EMC Corporation and Executive Chairman, RSA, The Security Division of EMC. With revenues of $20 billion in 2011 and more than 53,000 people worldwide, EMC is a global leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Fundamental to this transformation is cloud computing. Through innovative products and services, EMC accelerates the journey to cloud computing, helping IT departments to store, manage, protect and analyze their most valuable asset – information – in a more agile, trusted, and cost-efficient way.
Coviello is responsible for RSA's strategy and overall operations as it delivers EMC's global vision of information-centric security. He was Chief Executive Officer of RSA Security, Inc. prior to its acquisition by EMC in 2006. He joined RSA in 1995 and has been a driving force in its rapid growth since that time. His expertise and influence have made him a recognized leader in the industry. He is frequently a featured presenter at conferences and forums around the world, and he plays key roles in several national cyber-security initiatives. He is based at RSA headquarters in Bedford, Massachusetts and reports to Pat Gelsinger, President and Chief Operating Officer, EMC Information Infrastructure Products.
Coviello has more than 30 years of strategic, operating, and financial management experience in technology companies. In addition, he currently serves on the Board of Directors at EnerNOC, a leader in demand response systems for energy conservation, and AtHoc, a leading provider of enterprise-class network-based mass notification systems for the security, life safety, and defense sectors.
He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts.
